The Five step process of Muscle Maintenance is a proven way to safely overcome injury, improve joint stability, build, and maintain your muscles. This process is not meant to be linear, but cyclical. Learning how to adapt to life's challenges and take care of our bodies is paramount. Muscle strength begins to decline after 30 years of age, where we lose 3-8% per decade.
We will experience changes related to skeletal muscle shape, loss of muscle fibers, loss of contractile proteins, change in size and changes in electrical activity and it also continues to decrease progressively. We must take an active role in our aging process in order to "slow down father time". In these 5 steps, we can safely progress load, joint stability, control, and other challenges.
